Having arrived in Maldives at nighttime, we didn't have the bird's-eye view of the islands, but we were privileged to be seated in front of some GMA reporters, Ruth Cabal & Joseph Morong, while on the plane. There we learned that they were headed for a vacation as well.
We landed and spent the rest of our first night in Hulhumale, an extension of The Maldives' capital--Male. I woke up early to witness the sun's rising and be able to explore the neighborhood. When I greeted one of the hotel's staff, he mentioned that the beach is located at the back of the place where we were staying.
I proceeded right away and I was quite blown away with the scene. As the golden sun slowly illuminated the tranquil sea and the fine shore, I sat on a driftwood to appreciate creation and do a little reflection.
As we started to roam around the city, the designs and colors of the buildings were noticeable. I couldn't help but document the designs I saw. The people we came across with greeted and smiled at us.
CITY DISCOVERIES
Transport vehicles which are in operation here include buses, bicycles, taxis and seaplanes.
Plants and Animals: Surprisingly, dogs are prohibited here. We rarely found animals around, except a few cats and some birds.
We found a bookshop and searched the items they sell. Most are children's education materials written in Dhivehi.
Striking designs decorate most structures such as houses, business establishments and educational buildings:
